Puzzle & Dragons X Announced for 3DS

GungHo, the developer of Puzzles & Dragons, has announced a new title in the franchise for release exclusively on the 3DS. The new game will be called Puzzle & Dragons X and will be an all new game apart from Puzzles & Dragons Z, a 3DS-exclusive title that launched in North America earlier this year. According to the announcement in Famitsu, Puzzles & Dragons X will feature over 500 monsters to capture, train, and evolve. Moreover, the developers promise more in-depth RPG mechanics than any Puzzle & Dragons title that has come before it.

Currently, there is no Western release date announced for the game, but it will launch in Japan sometime in 2016.
