Popular Japanese Magazine Famitsu will Have Their Mascot Nekki the Fox as a Costume in Super Mario Maker

Nintendo took a lot of fans by surprise when they announced that the upcoming Super Mario Maker would feature a variety of different costumes that are unlockables in the game. Some interesting choices made it in like the Wii Fit Trainer from Wii Fit and the Inkling Girl from Splatoon and probably the most taboo — former-arch nemesis turned best buddy, SEGA’s own mascot Sonic the Hedgehog. However, this is officially not the weirdest addition.

Popular Japanese magazine Famitsu has recently announced that their own mascot, Nekki the Fox, will be an unlockable costume in the game. Exact specifics of this partnership will be revealed at a later date, so in the meantime, just let that sink in.
