Pokémon Unite releases for mobile Sept. 22nd, more fighters announced

Pokémon Unite seems to be doing well on Switch so far, but those without the console have yet to be able to play the MOBA. They won’t have to wait too much longer to dive in, however, as the Pokémon Unite releases on mobile platforms on September 22nd!

Announced during today’s Pokémon Presents, pre-registration for the mobile version is available now on iOS and Android systems. As with many mobile titles, there’s currently a campaign in progress to encourage interested parties to pre-register. For 1 million pre-registrations, Trainers will be awarded 1,000 Aeos Tickets, which can be used towards unlocking new Pokémon. If 2.5 million people pre-register, then Trainers will receive a free Unite License for Pikachu. For those who already have Pikachu unlocked, you’ll instead receive Aeos Coins. Finally, if 5 million players pre-register, then Trainers will receive the Special Festival Style: Pikachu Holowear outfit. To claim these bonuses, you’ll simply need to log into the mobile version before October 31st, regardless of whether you pre-registered or not.

In other news, Mamoswine and Sylveon were announced to be coming to Pokémon Unite‘s roster in the future. Though no details on these additions were given, we got to see a brief glimpse of each Pokémon in action. This announcement comes hot on the heels of today’s addition of Blissey to the lineup, so it’s nice to see that updates have been pretty regular so far.
