Pokémon Sword and Shield get new moves revealed from datamining

Pokémon Sword and Shield datamine reveals new moves coming

As far as we know, Pokémon Sword and Shield are getting their first major DLC content next month. Plenty of gaming content has been delayed due to COVID-19, but March’s trailer still stands with a rough “June” release window. Now, a recent Pokémon Home update has revealed some DLC details via datamining pertaining to new moves.

The update for Pokémon Home is a precursor to the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC. The datamine provides some juicy details about the main game’s DLC, including a list of 21 new moves. These are likely to be made official next month when the DLC launches. Here is the full list:

  • Expanding Force
  • Steel Roller
  • Scale Shot
  • Meteor Beam
  • Shell Side Arm
  • Misty Explosion
  • Grassy Glide
  • Rising Voltage
  • Terrain Pulse
  • Skitter Smack
  • Burning Jealousy
  • Lash Out
  • Poltergeist
  • Corrosive Gas
  • Coaching (This one may be a placeholder name for an ability in Pokémon Sword and Shield, due to the same name being used in French and Italian.)
  • Flip Turn
  • Triple Axel
  • Dual Wingbeat
  • Scorching Sands
  • Jungle Healing
  • Wicked Blow
  • Surging Strikes

Most of the listed moves are brand new for this upcoming Pokémon DLC, but there is a familiar entry. Zarude is already capable of performing the “Jungle Healing” move, which is earned at level 90. The Pokémon move restores health and removes status effects.

Which of these moves are you looking forward to trying out in the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC?
