Pokémon Shirts now selling masks with any of the original 151

Pokémon Shirts masks

Deciding that designer shirts were simply not enough, the Pokémon Shirts e-store is now selling masks themed after any of the original 151 Pokémon, but with a few important caveats. The store page for the new masks allows you to easily select your favorite Gen One Pokémon, as well as a fabric color for the mask (you can choose between white, black, pink, and blue) and a size – medium or small. Clocking in at $18 each with a $15 shipping charge for orders containing four masks or fewer, the masks are pretty expensive. But at least they can stylishly help you avoid COVID-19, right?

No, for whatever reason, they cannot. According to fine print on the Pokémon Shirts site, these masks are “intended to be used as a fashion item and [are] not intended to prevent infectious diseases.” If fashionable masks are your thing, then these masks might be a great accessory for you, but in the midst of a global pandemic, it might not be the best time to invest in masks that are for show only.

Still, the masks do look pretty cool, and if mask-fashion is a widespread thing in the post-COVID world, then I could see these new designs from Pokémon Shirts finding a suitable niche. What do you think? Are you interested?
