Pokémon Masters adds Legendary Arena mode and more in new update

A Pokémon Masters update launched today, bringing with it a brand new mode called the Legendary Arena. The Official Pokémon Masters Channel on YouTube released a video this morning that showed off gameplay of the new mode.

In the Pokémon Masters Legendary Arena, trainers can fight against powerful Legendary Pokémon. While damage dealt in this mode carries over from battle to battle, these Legendary Pokémon boast incredibly high HP stats. In addition, trainers are limited in how many sync pairs they can use in the fight. These factors work together to create an exciting and challenging new gameplay experience.

The very first Pokémon Masters Legendary Arena opponent, depicted in the reveal trailer, is one of Johto’s Legendary beasts, Entei. Players who have made it through Chapter 2 of the Main Story are able to take on Entei right away. The Entei fight will remain available through 10:59 p.m. PDT on June 24. Trainers can also expect more Legendary Arena events to come in the future.

More about the Pokémon Masters Legendary Arena update

The new Pokémon Masters update includes more content than just the Legendary Arena. Players can now earn medals by completing various tasks, like defeating Entei or taking part in the Pokémon Masters League. They can then display and view these medals in their profiles. Up to three medals can be selected as “favorites” and viewed by friends and other players.

This update also adds a new sync pair to the game: Sygna Suit Grimsley and Sharpedo. Trainers can obtain this Water-type pair through the sync pair Spotlight Scout until June 24 at 10:59 p.m. PDT. Sharpedo can use the move Sink or Swim!, drastically raising its evasiveness and critical hit rate while also damaging itself. Grimsley’s Sharpedo is also capable of Mega Evolving into Mega Sharpedo after using a sync move.

Trainers can play through a new story chapter that follows Grimsley as he decides whether to leave Pasio or not. In addition, this update adds a login bonus that rewards trainers who play the game every day. Players who log in to Pokémon Masters daily through June 17 at 10:59 p.m. PDT can obtain Gems.

What are your thoughts on this update? Are you excited to face Entei in the new Pokémon Masters Legendary Arena mode? Will you be logging in and playing daily to get those bonus Gems? Let us know your thoughts in the comments or on our social media!
