The NPD Group recently shared sales information from the month of November, revealing Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee to have some of the best Pokemon debut months of all time. November of this year saw the second-highest number of series sales since its debut back in 1996, falling behind only March 2000.
Here are the month’s top twenty games, counted by dollar sales rather than units sold.
- Red Dead Redemption II
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4**
- Battlefield V**
- Fallout 76*
- Pokemon: Lets Go Pikachu*
- Pokemon: Lets Go Eevee*
- NBA 2K19
- Madden NFL 19^
- Spyro Reignited Trilogy
- FIFA 19**
- Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
- Super Mario Party*
- Marvel’s Spider-Man
- Mario Kart 8*
- WWE 2K19
- God of War 2018
- Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
- Just Dance 2019
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Forza Horizon 4
What if Pokemon: Let’s Go had been counted as one game instead of two? It makes you think. While it likely wouldn’t have beat out the multiplatform titans like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Black Ops 4, I doubt Fallout 76 would’ve remained in its #4 spot.
Other Nintendo gems released many months back remain in the top twenty, most notably Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The 2017 Mario Kart installment just doesn’t stop selling; it was at nearly 12 million units as of September 30, and will surely surpass that as the Switch gains momentum.
