Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular Event begins today

Pokémon GO players have been quite busy with all the in-game events lately, and there’s more on the way! Starting today, players can participate in the Psychic Spectacular Event with a chance to capture Shiny Drowzee. The event will take place from October 5th at 1:00 P.M. PT – October 14th at 1:00 P.M. PT. The focus will mainly be on capturing Psychic-type Pokémon, hence the title, and will coincide with Mewtwo appearing in Raid Battles.

Check out the key features of the event:

  • Trainers will encounter Psychic-type Pokémon like Abra, Ralts, and Baltoy at a more frequent rate.
  • New Field Research tasks focusing on Psychic-type Pokémon will be available.
  • If you get lucky, you may encounter Shiny Drowzee.

This is a nice little event that should keep Pokémon GO players busy over the next few weeks. It also gives trainers a little help with their quest to catch ’em all!

A Halloween Event on the Way?

Players who have been enjoying all the in-game events may have something else to look forward to. Niantic sent out an email to fans teasing the possibility of a Halloween themed event.

Professor Willow reports that chilling events have occurred nearby. Could they be the work of a ghost type Pokémon? Stay tuned to discover it”

I’m sure we’ll see more updates soon on which Pokémon will be featured in this event. My obvious guess is Ghost-type Pokémon. Nonetheless, this is certainly an exciting time to be an active Pokémon GO player.

What are your thoughts on all this? Will you be participating in the Psychic Spectacular Event? Have you managed to capture Mewtwo yet? I’m definitely excited about the possibility of a Halloween event. As always be sure to discuss all your thoughts with us down below in the comment section! Also feel free to share your predictions for the possible Halloween event.
