Pokémon fan has captured every Shiny Pokémon, Junichi Masuda is impressed

Shiny Pokémon

Pokémon is a franchise with a lot of different play styles. Some of you may be heavily involved in the competitive scene, taking part in online tournaments and refining your skills. There is of course the Pokémon Trading Card Game, offering something to both collectors and players. However, my personal favorite way to play Pokémon has become more and more popular over the years: shiny hunting. This is the act of searching for a rare version of a Pokémon with an alternate color palette. Finding a Shiny Pokémon is a difficult task, and it can take hours’ worth of grinding. With eight generations to choose from, there are just under 900 creatures to capture in total but also more than one shiny version of many creatures on top of that — yet someone has finally captured every one.

A Twitter user by the name of @kyudan_pokemon has posted a video of their Pokémon Home account, which features a shiny for every single Pocket Monster in existence. This is obviously an impressive feat, and it has even captured the attention of Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda.

I’m curious to know how long this took to accomplish. I have a few shiny Pokémon, but there’s no chance of me ever reaching this staggering amount. Have you captured any Shiny Pokémon, and if so, which one is your favorite?
