Pokémon BDSP previews reveal nice QOL features, but you can’t turn off Exp Share

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl previews BDSP Experience Share exp qol quality of life features

Previews for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) have started to circulate online, revealing key information about the highly anticipated Sinnoh remakes, including quality-of-life (QOL) features and the current state of Exp Share. Serebii has compiled the important details about what to expect when the games launch next month. Just like with Pokémon Sword and Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will include an auto-save feature; however, this can be disabled if necessary. However, one thing you can’t turn off in Pokémon BDSP is Exp Share, which gives experience to your entire party.

Furthermore, type effectiveness will be visible during battle, reminding newcomers and returning players alike about type matchups. One feature introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield was the ability to change your party wherever you are in the game, and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will allow you to do the same thing. Although most of these features are for the better, Vooks revealed in its BDSP preview that TMs will be single-use only, as opposed to in the more recent games that allow you to use them endlessly. However, you will still be able to find multiple of them, so don’t worry about using a TM straight away. We were previously told that these games are “faithful” remakes, so that might be the reason why.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launch on November 19, 2021. Are you excited to revisit Sinnoh?
