The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops are shutting down in March 2023, and it will no longer be possible to add funds via credit card to those eShop accounts as of May 23, 2022. That sucks. However, via Serebii, the silver lining is that The Pokémon Company states that Pokémon Bank will become free to use once those eShops are shut down next March. You just have to remember to download the Pokémon Bank app before the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop storefronts shut down, because it won’t be possible to download afterward, free or not.
Serebii Note: Do note you will be unable to download Pokémon Bank when the eShops go offline so make sure it is downloaded before then

Pokémon Bank originally launched in 2014 and provided players with a way to store thousands of Pokémon in the cloud, and it can be used with a multitude of games. It was ultimately succeeded by Pokémon Home in 2019, which has become the go-to way to store Pokémon on Nintendo Switch.
Speaking of the franchise, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is off to a stupendous start, selling 6.5 million units in its first week on the market, and that number has inevitably only continued climbing since then. The game broke with some franchise traditions and established some terrific new gameplay elements, and some fans are hoping some of its changes show up in the next traditional entries in the franchise.
