Plot thickens: Alan Wake Remastered now rated for Switch by the ESRB

Alan Wake Remastered Switch ESRB

Rating boards sure are good at spoiling surprises. Last month, The Brazil Advisory Rating Board seemed to confirm Alan Wake Remastered for Nintendo Switch. Gamers weren’t sure if this was an error or someone jumping the gun. However, the latter now looks more likely. The Entertainment Software Rating Board, or ESRB, has rated Alan Wake Remastered for Switch. What a curious thing to do!

Alan Wake Remastered on Switch is an inevitability at this point

Fans looking for proof of the rating need look no further than the ESRB website. As you can see, Alan Wake Remastered has been rated T for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. The title came out on all non-Nintendo consoles last week. Oddly enough, there was no inkling a Cloud Version would be hitting Nintendo’s hybrid during the last Direct. Perhaps Epic Games and Remedy Entertainment want to announce the game themselves?

I’ve been enjoying Alan Wake Remastered on my PS5. I never got a chance to play it on the 360 back in the day, so I’m happy it hit other platforms. If it is coming to Switch, even as a Cloud Version, I’m psyched more people will get to experience its unique gameplay and premise.

Enthusiasts, what do you make of the Alan Wake Remastered Switch ESRB rating? Let us know if you think it will hit the console at some point in the near future.
