Play the Dark Souls: Remastered network test this weekend

Fans eager to play Dark Souls: Remastered on Switch will finally get their chance starting this weekend. Nintendo has announced via Twitter that the game’s network test will take place September 21st -23rd.

Here are the specific network test times for each region:

North America
  • Sept. 21: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. ET
  • Sept. 22: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. ET
  • Sept. 23: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. ET
Europe
  • Sept. 21: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. BST/ 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. CEST
  • Sept. 22: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. BST/ 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. CEST
  • Sept. 23: 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. BST/ 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. CEST

The network test will allow players to play through the Undead Parish, with access to both single player and multiplayer. This is definitely a great opportunity for newcomers to try out the game for the first time. It also allows the development team to test out the game’s performance and ensure it runs as best as possible come launch. The network test software is available to download right now on the Nintendo eShop for free.

Fans have been quite eager to play Dark Souls: Remastered on the Switch ever since the game got delayed from summer 2018 to fall 2018. It will be worth the wait for Switch owners, as the game will release alongside an exclusive Solaire of Astora amiibo. Both the game and amiibo will launch on October 19th.
