The marketing for Pikmin 3 Deluxe is ramping up now ahead of launch later this month. Yesterday, a free demo was revealed and released on the Nintendo Switch eShop, giving you a chance to try before you buy. If you’re yet to take Nintendo up on that offer, the company is doing its best to entice you before release with this quick look trailer.
The trailer is short and sweet, going over what the demo has to offer. As announced last night, it contains the option for two-player cooperative play, where you can meet plenty of Pikmin and explore their world. The Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo seems like an ideal place to try Pikmin if you’re a newcomer, as Nintendo is offering a few bonuses for doing so.
First off, your progress will carry over from the demo to the main game, should you wish to pick it up. This is going to let players get a head start on release and provides another reason to give the demo a shot. Second off, you’ll unlock the higher difficulty “Ultra-Spicy” mode from the get-go in Pikmin 3 Deluxe if you play through the full demo. If you need any more convincing, Nintendo recently released a few new trailers showing off the world of Pikmin.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe launches Oct. 30 on Nintendo Switch.
