Atlus sure wants to keep the momentum building for Persona Q2: Cinema Labyrinth. They have just released another bite-sized teaser trailer in Japan, where the 3DS exclusive (remember those?) is set to be released Nov. 29.
The sequel to 2014’s Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, Persona Q2: Cinema Labyrinth is a crossover title set in a super cute chibi-style world inhabited by characters from Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5.
While the dungeon crawling of this 3DS-exclusive series might not appeal to everyone (including our very own John Friscia, at least in the first game), fans of the mainline titles (including John Friscia and myself) should still check this sequel out.
But, is Persona Q2 going to get an English release? That’s the big question. Atlus has not given any indication thus far. But given their track record for supporting older consoles with English releases (Persona 4 didn’t arrive on the PlayStation 2 until 2008, Persona 5 appeared on both the PlayStation 3 and 4 well after the PS3 was considered dead by most, while the two newest Persona rhythm games, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, are being ported stateside to the PlayStation Vita, which Sony all but buried three years ago), I’m optimistic. Are you?
