Even with some time to reflect on it after the first reveal at the Game Awards, it is still insane for us to report that Joker from Persona 5 is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He will be Challenger Pack #1 of the five Fighters Pass DLC characters! I personally spent over 120 hours playing Persona 5, and despite that, I never for one second suspected that he would come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I really didn’t. I didn’t even fantasize about it because I thought there was zero chance of Persona entering the fight.
What a wonderfully fantastic feeling it is to be wrong!
Anyway, you can check out the hype-as-heck reveal trailer below, though it shows zero gameplay or any game footage at all. It’s just a very classy, very Persona tease, and that’s fine by me. Thank you, Nintendo, thank you, Sakurai, thank you, Atlus, for making this happen. Holy moly.
