Just yesterday we were marveling at the Lara Croft creations from Crystal Dynamics and the reimagined intro for GoldenEye 007 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now, we have an even more wild creation. One player has built scenes from Sega’s Out Run in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a truly legendary arcade game meeting a life simulator that is quickly becoming a legend itself.

The creations were built by @uma73 on Twitter, whom you can tell must have put a lot of time and effort into this. They’ve managed to use the red toy race car bed to act as the car and have strategically placed it looking off into the distance, where you can see the road fade away over the island’s curve.

@uma73 has also managed to create some incredible scenery to “drive” through, which only manages to make their island look more like Sega’s arcade racing game. We don’t know if they used a duplication glitch to quickly acquire the items needed for the build or if they actually went out and gathered all of the materials they needed. What we do know is that this build is ambitious. Building Out Run in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is certainly a creative endeavor.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
