Ori standard physical editions to release before year’s end

ori standard physical editions nintendo switch ori and the blind forest will of the wisps moon studios

Moon Studios’ Ori franchise Twitter account has recently revealed Ori standard physical editions are in the works to release later this year. These are of course standard editions for Ori and the Blind Forest and the recently released Ori and the Will of the Wisps. This news comes hot on the heels of the reveal of the collector’s edition of Ori and the Will of Wisps, which packs in the first game and some physical goodies.

The collector’s edition of Ori and the Will of the Wisps will set you back $150. That’s quite a lot of money for someone who just wants a physical game cartridge of both games. Thankfully, these Ori standard physical editions should cost a lot less. Digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Blind Forest retails for $19.99, whereas Will of the Wisps retails for $29.99.

Moon Studios’ Nintendo Switch version of Blind Forest is actually probably the best version of the game, enjoying the benefit of numerous optimizations that the studio had devised over time. We hope to be able to say that Will of the Wisps plays similarly, and we will report back to you soon enough with our review. The game performed very well critically in its initial Xbox One and PC release.

Will you be grabbing this physical editions?

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
