Dynasty Warriors and One Piece fans looking forward to the overwhelming action of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 won’t just be tussling against rival pirates and military warriors alone. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the game is set to have online co-op when it releases this year, and the latest issue of Weekly Jump outlines the four different online co-op modes players can expect to jump into.
The first online co-op mode in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is Giant Boss Battle. In this mode, you and your friends will be working together to tackle onslaughts of gigantic bosses from the main campaign, such as the intimidating villain Kaido. There’s also Total Bounty Battle, where you work together with your friends to try and get your pirate bounty as high as possible.
There are additionally a few team-oriented online modes in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 that are more multiplayer mayhem than pure co-op. In Timed Defense Battle, you and another team each have your own turf on the map, and it’s up to each of you to defend your locations at all costs. Finally, in Turf War, three teams of four players compete to capture each other’s territory.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 will release on March 26 in Japan and on March 27 in the rest of the world.
