Octopath Traveler coming to PC in Korea, international release likely

Octopath Traveler for PC South Korea international release Nintendo Switch

Octopath Traveler has been rated by the Game Rating and Administration Committee in South Korea for a PC release. That makes it pretty likely, albeit not guaranteed, that the game will be heading for a worldwide PC release soon. So on the very off chance that you’re a Nintendo Enthusiast reader who doesn’t have a Switch, you may be in luck?

Meanwhile, a prequel called Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is in development for mobile devices while Square Enix works on a sequel for Nintendo Switch. So there’s a lot of this series to go around.

In my Switch review of the game, I praised the title’s visuals and innovative ideas but lamented its generic story. I hope the sequel (and the prequel, I suppose) can beef up the narrative to provide a genuinely stellar Square RPG experience.
