Nintendo Tokyo store will open this fall in Japan

As strange as it may seem, Nintendo has no official storefront in Japan — but that’s about to change. They have announced in their 2019 Corporate Management Policy Briefing that an official “Nintendo Tokyo” store will open this fall. It will appear inside the currently-being-rebuilt Shibuya Parco Building, which looks like it’ll be a pretty beautiful structure:

Nintendo Tokyo will inevitably be a blast for fans to explore, especially if it’s anything like its American counterpart, the Nintendo New York store. Nintendo New York has been around in one form or another since 2001, when it began life as “The Pokémon Center,” and from 2005 to 2016 was called “Nintendo World.” Whatever name it goes by, I make sure to go to Nintendo New York every time I’m in the city. Because, well, why in the heck wouldn’t I?

If you go to Tokyo in fall, remember to check Nintendo Tokyo out!
