Nintendo Sold 95,000 Wii Us in US in February

Some sleuths on Neogaf have figured out how many Wii Us Nintendo sold in February. Although Nintendo did not give any concrete numbers for the month, the company did say that the month saw a 20% increase in sales over last year. That brings the number of Wii Us sold for the month to about 95,000.

This is rather optimistic information. Although still in a third place spot, 95,000 units sold for a 28-day months would be roughly 100,000 units sold for a full 30-day month. A pace of 100,000 units per month is not too shabby considering that February did not see any huge releases on the Wii U, and the month is historically quite a slow month.

Nintendo official yearly earnings report is in April. At that point we will finally see how successful the Wii U has been in this initial post-holiday period.
