Ah, the Nintendo 3DS. It seems like only yesterday we were getting word Japan was ending repair services for the portable system. A painful development, to be sure, but I’d rather remember the good times. Nintendo itself seems to be of the same mind. Today, the company used the power of the internet to remind gamers today is the 10th anniversary of the 3DS in North America.
The 3DS’ 10th anniversary?! Has it been that long?
Here is a nice Twitter post to celebrate the occasion, complete with the Aqua Blue model we all know and love:

The Big N also posted the message to Facebook.
To answer Nintendo’s question, some of my favorite games on the handheld are The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Super Mario 3D Land, Metroid: Samus Returns, and Pokémon X and Y. Of course, I also have to include the excellent remakes on the system: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, and Star Fox 64 3D.
Memories-wise, I remember being blown away by the 3D effect, which I always kept on the highest setting. In addition, being able to procure the beautiful New Nintendo 3DS XL model shown below was a treat:
