The surprise announcement of the SNES Classic Edition has the internet a buzz right now, especially when you look at the stellar games line up that the unit offers. Would be owners of the system are a bit nervous though considering the major supply issues that plagued the NES Classic, in which scalpers became the only source of getting one. According to a Nintendo rep, this will not be the case with the SNES Classic:
We aren’t providing specific numbers, but we will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition.
Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition is currently planned to ship from Sept. 29 until the end of calendar year 2017. At this time, we have nothing to announce regarding any possible shipments beyond this year.
