Nintendo Monthly Rewind video releases a retrospective for January 2021

Nintendo Monthly Rewind January 2021 video

January 2021 saw its fair share of Nintendo announcements. We got a closer look at New Pokémon Snap and the new Bowser’s Fury mode in the Nintendo Switch upgraded port Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, a Monster Hunter Rise demo, and much more. As such, the company has released a Nintendo Monthly Rewind video for January 2021, which delves into all the exciting announcements that were made last month.

The Nintendo Monthly Rewind January video also mentions the Super Mario 35th anniversary events that took place, including Splatoon 2‘s Mario-themed Splatfest. It was also cool to see Cyber Shadow brought up. In our review of the game, we praised its tight game design and unique levels.

January was only the start to what could become one of the best years for Nintendo. There are a bunch of anniversaries on the horizon, with Zelda and Pokémon‘s landing later this month. Later in the year we have Donkey Kong turning 35 in July and Metroid becoming 35 in August.

The future for Nintendo Switch is looking bright, and its most recent sales figures are evidence enough. Its financial report also revealed information on software sales, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons selling over 30 million copies in just nine months. 2021 is now underway, and we can’t wait to see what Nintendo has in store for us.

What’s your highlight from the Nintendo Monthly Rewind January 2021 video?
