In a recent interview with Dianne Segovia, the manager of marketing for Nintendo of Latin America, Segovia was asked about why Xenoblade Chronicles X lacks a large marketing push. In short, the manager stated that Xenoblade’s market is primarily RPG fans that already know that the game exists, so it would not benefit much from substantial marketing.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is an RPG, a game for RPG and Xenoblade fans. We didn’t do anything too big because the audience for the game already know it exists and is already attentive of its release.”
