Nintendo encouraging digital Switch downloads with EU eShop sale

EU eShop sale

As the gaming industry continues to grow along with the rest of the tech world, it should be expected that more and more emphasis will gradually be put on digital distribution. Even though Nintendo has beenĀ really late to the party with its advancement in the age of the Internet, it’s been embracing it ten-fold over the course of the last few years. Right now, it’s trying to push the needle even further over in the EU.

The EU Switch eShop currently has a sale going on dubbed the “Go Digital!” sale. Over 130 titles spanning a variety of genres have been discounted, including relatively popular games like FAST RMX and Horizon Chase Turbo. The sale runs until May 23, 2019.

Even if you don’t live in any country that the EU eShop covers, keep in mind that the Switch is region-free. So (if your currency conversion allows), you can still take advantage of these savings regardless of where in the world you are by simply creating an EU-based Nintendo Account.

For the full selection of all the titles involved in this sale, check out the noticeably well-built search engine on the official EU Nintendo website. It’s a shame that not even the Switch eShop itself is laid out as well as this (just a tad worse, but still…)
