Nintendo Direct for E3 2021 announced for June 15

Nintendo Direct E3 2021

The lingering impact of COVID has shut down a physical E3 once again, but the show must go on! The ESA is partnering with major publishers to broadcast showcases from June 12 through June 15. Nintendo previously confirmed that they’d attend, but otherwise, they’ve kept us in the dark. That just changed! Via Twitter, Nintendo just announced their E3 2021 Direct is set for June 15! Mark your calendars and get ready for some exciting trailers!

Nintendo Direct E3 2021 announced

The E3 2021 Nintendo Direct kicks off at 9:00 am Pacific/noon Eastern. That’s 5:00 pm for our readers in the UK. The show will last for around 40 minutes and focuses “exclusively on Nintendo Switch software, mostly releasing in 2021.” After the show, you can look forward to an additional three hours of content. The Nintendo Treehouse team will be live, showing off more gameplay for the E3 lineup.

So what should we expect to see at the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct? The possibilities are endless! I’m crossing my fingers for another look at Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4. We’ve also heard rumors about a new Donkey Kong game in development. Nintendo was careful to specify that the show will focus “exclusively on software,” which means no news about the rumored Switch Pro. However, there’s nothing to stop them from revealing it prior to E3.
