Nintendo announces Switch online launch date

Nintendo Switch Online has been in the works for over a year now, but fans don’t have to wait much longer for it.

Nintendo just announced their plans to kick off the service on September 18. Additionally, players can sign up for a seven day free-trial to test the waters before making an official purchase.

Nintendo’s been criticized for their lack of communication regarding the service. The direct serves as their last chance to sell players on the online membership. Though only $20 a year, it’s a pretty bare-bones subscription service. NES games are nice, but hopefully the library is expanded to SNES and even perhaps N64 and GameCube titles.
