A new product listing has potentially revealed the existence of a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The leak comes from a listing on Game Source Entertainment, a retailer based in Hong Kong, which indicates a $39.99 price tag and a March 2021 release window. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy will supposedly contain Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. The listings have subsequently been removed, though a cached version of the Nintendo Switch listing may be viewed.

Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden released to critical acclaim on Xbox in 2004, and it received subsequent variant versions in Black and Sigma. The sequel received a similarly warm reception, whereas the third title was critically panned.

Tokyo Game Show 2020 is scheduled to take place between Sept. 24 and 27. It’s possible that Koei Tecmo could announce¬†Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 then. On the other hand, Nintendo seems to love dropping big news when we least expect it lately. An announcement like this could easily come during another Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, the same way Square Enix announced Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend recently. Stay tuned for any official announcements.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
