Nindie – New Update Released for Poly Bridge on Switch

Patrick from the indie studio Drycactus recently took to Reddit to release the patch notes for the latest update of¬†Poly Bridge on Nintendo Switch. This new patch brings the game version up to 1.1. The whole purpose of the patch is to improve the gameplay experience by making some changes to the game’s control scheme.

Since¬†Poly Bridge is a construction simulator, the dev thought it would be nice to make use of the Joy-Con’s motion-gyro functionality for pointer controls. This wasn’t very well-received by players, so now the feature has been removed with this latest patch. Instead, players now have two options: using traditional¬†thumbstick controls or the touchscreen. These two control schemes can be seamlessly swapped between each other, which should come in handy when playing in portable mode.
