New Nintendo Patent: Input Device with Haptic Feedback

Looks like these patents from Nintendo keep popping up. A new one has just emerged tonight, and it seems to be pretty interesting. Essentially, “haptic feedback” isĀ use of the sense of touch in a user interface design to provide information to an end user. The device in question, which appears to be a tablet (and is more than likely a place holder) has 2 specific regions in which the haptic feedback is used.

While it remains to be seen what exactly this patent is used for, it could easily be yet another part of the “Nintendo NX.” With all these patents emerging as of late, it is a very exciting time to be a Nintendo fan. What do you make of all these new patents popping up? Sound off below.
