NES and SNES Minis coming as a double pack in Japan

The NES and SNES/Famicom and Super Famicom were hot items when they initially released in 2016 and 2017, respectively. They were so sought after that both experienced severe stock shortages. They’re a lot easier to find nowadays that the hype is has minimized to such a large degree. But, for those that still have yet to pick them up, it looks like Nintendo of Japan wants to make it as simple as possible.

Listings for a double-pack have surfaced among several Japanese retailers. It’s been priced at ¥15,077 ($135.50 USD).

Personally, I think it would have been better for Nintendo release a bundle like this earlier on when interest is still high, but perhaps this soft re-release might spark a bit of sales spike anyway. It remains unclear if there are any plans to bring it to other markets, so if you’re interested but live outside of Japan you may want to consider importing it.
