NEO: The World Ends with You trailer takes us to Shibuya in real life

Fans will find themselves returning to the recreated and stylized Shibuya in NEO: The World Ends with You later this month, and Square Enix has released a short new trailer with a real-life twist.

The trailer starts with a look at the main protagonist, Rindo Kanade, standing at the Shibuya Crossing, across the street from the Shibuya 109 department store. If you’re not familiar with Shibuya Crossing, it’s a well-known scramble crossing that you’ve probably seen in any movie, TV show, or anime that has a scene in the Tokyo ward. We also get to see Nagi in front of a MODI shopping mall entrance.

Shibuya in real life is a busy commercial area, but in NEO: The World Ends with You, you’ll be busy with the new Reaper’s Game that will have Rindo and the other participants battle it out for over a week. If you’re curious about the gameplay, you can try out a demo that Square Enix released a couple of weeks ago.
