NBA 2K20 Legend Edition leaked, releases Sept. 6 for Switch

NBA 2K20 Legendary Edition NBA 2K Dwyane Wade

You probably know this part: The NBA 2K series is developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. What you might not know: A promotional cutout for the next NBA 2K game has seemingly leaked to Twitter. It displays NBA 2K20 Legend Edition, releasing for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 6. And the athlete it features is NBA superstar Dwyane Wade.

Dwyane Wade just retired from the Miami Heat, a team that he played on for the large majority of his career. Since he’s never appeared on an NBA 2K cover before, there’s good reason to suspect Wade will be the athlete to appear on the cover of NBA 2K20 Legend Edition. Meanwhile, a currently active NBA player is more likely to appear on the standard edition of the game.

The NBA 2K series has existed since (appropriately) 1999, where it debuted on the Dreamcast. Unlike some famous sports video game franchises, every entry in this series has received a positive critical reception. There’s no reason to think that they’ll drop the ball now. (Ho ho! What a zinger!)

We’re likely to get official confirmation one way or the other on NBA 2K20 Legend Edition soon.
