Mythical Pokémon silhouette revealed Legendary Pokémon Day Koko movie

It was revealed earlier this month that on Pokémon Day, Feb. 27, we will discover a new Mythical Pokémon that will appear in Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon the Movie: Koko. Now, in a new issue of CoroCoro scanned by PokéBeach, we get our first glimpse of this mysterious new creature. Behold the new Mythical Pokémon silhouette!

I’m spectacularly out of the loop on what the Pokédex looks like these days, so to me, this new Mythical Pokémon looks like the offspring of Mankey and Alakazam, some sort of ultra-combat god monkey. What does it look like to you?

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out the teaser trailer for Pokémon the Movie: Koko, which appears to be a jungle romp. In addition to showcasing the new Mythical Pokémon, the movie is essentially Ash-meets-Tarzan, catering to what I presume is a deeply untapped demographic. The film releases in Japan on July 10, and an international release for this 23rd movie in the franchise will inevitably follow.

And of course, let’s not forget that Pokémon: Sword and Shield DLC shall begin releasing this June with The Isle of Armor. Basically, if you’re a fan of this franchise, there’s plenty to look forward to right now.

What are your theories on the identity of this new Mythical Pokémon based off its silhouette?
