My Friend Peppa Pig gameplay trailer looks exactly like the cartoon

Hasbro, publisher Outright Games, and developer Petoons Studio have revealed the gameplay trailer for My Friend Peppa Pig, which has an October 22, 2021 release date on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia platforms. However, if it weren’t explicitly called a gameplay trailer, I would have assumed it were just one long advertisement for the popular British animated series, because it looks utterly identical. There isn’t even any UI or text on display. That’s probably an indication that My Friend Peppa Pig gameplay will be really straightforward, so that its preschool-aged target audience will be able to fully enjoy it.

My Friend Peppa Pig is a single-player story-driven title that has you create your own customized character to play as alongside the title character. You will visit locations like “Peppa’s house, Peppa’s grandparents’ house, the forest, Snowy Mountain, the museum, the playgroup, the beach, and Potato City.” That’s just about all we know about the gameplay. Hopefully the game will have a decent length to it; I remember renting Barney’s Hide & Seek Game on Sega Genesis as a little kid and beating it in half an hour. (The game would also literally beat itself if you put the controller down.)

Outright Games is known for its family-friendly licensed titles, which include the likes of the upcoming The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem and Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tale Adventures. My Friend Peppa Pig will extend that family friendliness even further.
