Nintendo celebrated the second anniversary of the launch of the Switch over the weekend. As expected, the event contained a lot of happy messages from members of the Nintendo community and also some comments were made by official personnel. Mr. Doug Bowser, the soon-to-be President of Nintendo of America following the retirement of Reggie Fils-Aime, was one of the official employees that chimed in with a celebratory message of his own:

You may have noticed that this relatively simple image has garnered a lot of attention. Why so? Well, the size of the picture Mr. Bowser used is incredibly small. It seems as though he pulled the first result off of a Google Image search and called it a day. Such disrespect from someone so high up on the ladder! One would think he’d have a treasure trove of high-res renders right at his disposal. Wonder if Reggie is rethinking this upcoming transition of power…
Mr. Bowser should know better not to use such a small image. The Twitter community rightfully mocked him for such an amateur move. Here are some of the responses:

Maybe Mr. Bowser was pressed for time and this is what he could’ve gotten his hands on the most quickly. Though, in the future, one should at least check the dimensions first. You know what Mr. Bowser, we know you’re gearing up for your big promotion and it’ll take time to get settled in. Here’s a gallery of Switch images I’ve made over the years for you to use next time:
Please Note: While the original tweet from Doug Bowser is real, this news article was purposefully written in an overly-exaggerated way and should not be taken seriously. Mr. Doug Bowser did nothing nefarious, but we decided to just have some fun with this situation just like the commenters did on Twitter.
