Hobonichi has revealed a collaboration model G-Shock watch for Mother, coming to Japan in early February 2022. The limited-edition watch will go for 23,100 yen (~$202.46), and it’ll only be available through a lottery purchase system starting January 20, 2022.
The Mother watch is based on the Casio G-Shock GW-M5610U model. The Hobonichi and Casio staff worked together on deciding this particular watch model. It has the Mother logo on the upper-left and a SMAAAASH!! critical hit marker on the bottom. It also has the Mother Earth symbol engraved on the backside of the watch.
It is based on the Casio G-Shock GW-M5610U released by Casio in 2012.
The back shows the Mother Earth logo and other info.
It all comes in a special tin with the Mother logo on the lid.
You can watch the official trailer for the Mother x G-Shock collaboration watch below:
I’m not sure what’s going on, but the characters they’re portraying are Mother protagonist Ninten and the heroine Ana.
The raffle tickets to purchase the watch will be available through the Hobonichi Mother Project webshop. The first wave will start at 11:00 a.m. JST on January 20, and the second will be available starting at 11:00 a.m. JST on January 27. Additionally, a sample product will be available to check out at the Shibuya Parco (8F) shopping mall starting today through January 16, 2021.
If you’re looking for more merch from the Mother series, the tribute comic and art book Pollyanna 2 was released in October. We also saw replica game screens made into home decor. However, the rare Mother 2 sukajan jacket will probably be one of the most sought-after items for years to come.
