WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have announced Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PC, and Stadia. This new version of the game, retailing for $59.99, will essentially include all previously released content for the game, including the Aftermath story expansion and its extra characters, a variety of extra character skins, all of the characters from Kombat Pack 1, and now three new characters revealed for Kombat Pack 2. Kombat Pack 2 includes Mileena, Rain, and freakin’ John Rambo, voiced by Sylvester Stallone himself.
Kombat Pack 2 will also be available separately for $14.99 for those who already own the other content. And if you own the game and don’t want to have the T-800 Terminator face off against RoboCop and freakin’ Rambo, there’s really no helping you.
On PlayStation and Xbox, both Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will offer free next-gen upgrades for current-gen owners, adding improved visuals, 4K support, and the like. But of course, that’s of little interest to Nintendo Switch players. Likewise, while Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate will release physically on PlayStation and Xbox in January, it will only release digitally on Switch.
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate preorders begin Oct. 15, and it will launch on Nov. 17. Kombat Pack 2 preorders and release seemingly follow the same schedule.
What do you think about playing as honest-to-God Rambo III Sylvester Stallone Rambo?
