Mortal Kombat 11: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, Spawn, and more to be DLC additions to roster

Mortal Kombat 11 - MK11 - Spawn - Sindel - Nightwolf - Shang Tsung

We knew that a host of new fighters would be imminent with the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. But the question has been, what fighters would be included in the Kombat Pack? We’ve already learned that Shang Tsung would be joining the kombat arena. But now, we have a killer trailer that showcases his deadly kombat skills. It seems that Shang Tsung hones the power of Mortal Kombat‘s famous ninjas (Scorpion, Smoke, Sub-Zero, etc.) to deliver pain and punishment. Check out the trailer for yourself!

The fun doesn’t stop there. We’ve now also learned that Nightwolf, Sindel, and the face of Image comics, Spawn, will be joining the fight alongside two other characters that are yet to be announced. The addition of Spawn is a thrilling development. The tortured soul of Al Simmons was rumored to be in consideration for the DLC treatment and now it’s confirmed. Here’s a fun fact. This will be the second time that Spawn has actually gotten his fists bloody in a fighting game. He appeared as a playable fighter in the Xbox version of Soul Calibur 2. Nightwolf and Sindel were actually both killed by each other during the events of Mortal Kombat (2012). So, it’ll be nice to see them back in action again likely as their younger versions, as well.

Ever since Mortal Kombat (2012), Netherrealm has been no stranger to including some of the most obscure licensed characters to appear in a Mortal Kombat game. Horror icons such as Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, the Predator, and Alien have all been playable fighters. Hellboy and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles joined NetherRealm’s other fighting franchise Injustice. In reality, the addition of Spawn is keeping up that tradition. We’ll have to just wait a little longer to see what the other two characters could possibly be.
