Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t just in the business of providing paid DLC characters to dedicated players. The Warner Bros.-published and NetherRealm Studios-developed fighting game has got a slate of free content updates planned for the rest of the year that is sure to keep fans of the gore-tacular fighting game entertained.
The first free limited-time event planned for Mortal Kombat 11 is the Winter Wonderland Tower event. It goes live on Dec. 22 and will keep running straight beyond Christmas until finally ending on Dec. 27. This event is set to feature three special holiday-themed Towers that are filled with festive modifiers like Killer Kanes, Sledding Tarkatans, Parachuting Ginger Deadmen, Exploding Snowmen, Christmas Trees, Menorahs, Shooting Stars, and… Dreidels.
After the Winter Wonderland Tower event comes to a close, it’ll be followed up almost immediately by the Ring in the New Year Tower event. This event will be available starting Dec. 28, and it’ll run all the way until Jan. 2. This Mortal Kombat 11 event features even more themed Towers, with three new challenge Towers sporting New Years-adjacent modifiers and konsumables. There are going to be Disco Ball, Champagne Bottles, Party Poppers, Fireworks, and a Digital Countdown Clock that will be present during Tower battles to ring in the new year.
