More Dark is a bloody platformer that challenges you to save Hell

More Dark

Adult-oriented puzzle-platformer More Dark is making the jump from Steam to Switch later this week on November 27. Costing just $5 for sixty levels of puzzles and challenging jumps, the game is sure to work its way onto the radars of plenty of platforming fanatics. Check out the brief trailer below for an idea of how the game plays, but be warned – it’s a bloody affair.

With a gory spin that is atypical of the genre’s standard vibes, More Dark is aimed at an adult audience. It’s loaded with pixelated blood and guts – as you probably noticed from the trailer – so if that’s your thing, I guess you should keep an eye on this one. Of course, an influx of blood isn’t enough to carry a game, especially something like a 2D platformer. Thankfully, More Dark has a bit more to its premise. Take a look at its synopsis below.

After the Lord of the Other World went on vacation his leadership was temporarily taken over by his sweet daughter, Evilina.

Soon enough, well, all Hell broke loose. The prisoners of damnation have all escaped from their confinements and scattered about the kingdom, shattering the fragile peace of the devil’s dominion.

As a devoted minion of Evilina, your task is to lead a battalion of demons and return order to Hell, corral the escaped convicts, and cleanse each area of chaos and anarchy. Can you save Hell, or perhaps earn redemption?

Are you interested in More Dark? At $5 for several dozen levels of puzzle-platforming, I’m sure that many players will be enticed into giving the game a shot. I don’t see much room for it in my library at this stage, but it seems like the sort of game that could make a few fans quite happy for an afternoon or two.
