To the moon: Metroidvania title Moon Raider heads to Switch on April 23

Moon Raider

Do you know what genre of video game I adore? Metroidvanias. Titles like Hollow Knight and Shovel Knight are some of the best I have played in recent memory. Therefore, I am excited about an upcoming indie game from Cascadia Games that seems to fit the Metroidvania mold. It’s called Moon Raider, and it gives off huge Metroid Fusion vibes. The title is coming to Switch on April 23.

Moon Raider looks like it will scratch my action-adventure itch

Take a look at the announcement trailer for Moon Raider from last year, when it launched on mobile devices:

Wow, that soundtrack is bumping!

In Moon Raider, you control Ava, the daughter of a scientist and a former queen of the moon. Your mom needs special moon gems to live, so your dad sends you to the satellite to pick some up.

Here are some of the indie’s features:

  • Handcrafted world full of variety
  • Hidden upgrades and alternate paths
  • 10 environments to survey
  • 11 magnificent bosses to take down
  • Two-player local co-op

Enthusiasts, does Moon Raider look like your cup of tea? Let us know if you are planning to download the title with a post in the comment field below.
