Monster Hunter Rise Switch console and Pro Controller announced

To tie in with the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise, Nintendo has some new themed hardware on the way. Initially announced for Japan but now also revealed for Europe, there’s a new Monster Hunter Rise Nintendo Switch console inbound, along with a gorgeous Pro Controller. Both of these will launch alongside the game on March 26.

Let’s start with the system itself. The Monster Hunter Rise Switch console comes with a themed Switch tablet, matching Joy-Con, and a monster-adorned dock. In terms of in-game bonuses, the Monster Hunter Rise Switch bundle contains a code for the game, along with the Deluxe Kit DLC.

It’s a nice design all around, especially the dock with its heavier emphasis on gold touches. However, the Monster Hunter Rise Pro Controller takes the cake here. It too features a similar gold monster design, but the way it stretches across the right side of the pad looks fantastic. The left stick contains more subtle gold accents like the Joy-Con, and the overall Pro Controller design is gorgeous.

No pricing for either the system or the Pro Controller have been revealed yet, so expect them in due course. Despite no formal announcements yet, it would make sense if these came to North America as well, now that both Japan and Europe are receiving it.
