Monster Hunter eShop sale takes up to 70% off series titles

Monster Hunter eShop sale Rise 1.1.2 update Capcom patch notes

Capcom is hosting a fairly extensive Monster Hunter sale over on the Switch eShop and 3DS eShop, knocking as much as 70% off of the asking price for some games in the franchise. The sale runs until 11:59 PM PT on October 3. In the meantime, the sale provides an excellent opportunity for would-be fans to jump into this series.

Here is a list of the games on sale:

  • Monster Hunter Rise (Switch): was $59.99, now $49.99 (16% off)
  • Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch); was $59.99, now $15.99 (60% off)
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS): was $19.99, now %5.99 (70% off)
  • Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (3DS): was $29.99, now $8.99 (70% off)
  • Monster Hunter Generations (3DS): was $39.99, now $15.99 (60%)

What do you think? Any deals here that are catching your eye? Any games you have played that you now recommend to others? Personally, I have to sit this one out. I still have not had the opportunity to enjoy a Monster Hunter game, and while many of the ones on sale today look interesting, my issue is largely having nobody to play them with and not haing the time to commit to one of these right now.

I do wish that Monster Hunter Stories 2 could have been on sale, since that one is currently catching my eye, but that is not how the cookie crumbled this time around.
