Minecraft Dungeons: Howling Peaks DLC out December 9 as part of new season pass

Minecraft Dungeons review Nintendo Switch Xbox Game Studios Mojang Studios

Mojang recently revealed that Minecraft Dungeons is getting some new content in the form of a brand new season pass. The season pass will kick off on December 9 with the new Howling Peaks DLC, which promises a new area (a tumultuous mountaintop), new weapons and artifacts, and plenty of bad guys to knock around. Howling Peaks is the first of four paid DLCs that will make up the new season pass. Additionally, Mojang isn’t leaving those Minecraft Dungeons fans who’d rather not pay for DLC out to dry. They are promising some free updates in the future, including a pack of six free enchantments that will come out on the same day as Howling Peaks.

You can read a little bit more about Howling Peaks ahead of its Minecraft Dungeons debut below.

The Howling Peaks DLC is an action-packed trek to the mountain top that features dazzling new armour, weapons, and artifacts. Of course, new enemies such as the Squall Golem and Mountaineer await along the way as well – no one said it would be easy! Atop it all is the source of the stormy conflict, the Tempest Golem that has been corrupted by a shard from the Orb of Dominance.

Finally, while pricing info for the next Minecraft Dungeons season pass and DLCs was not immediately made clear, Mojang has confirmed that buying the season pass will net you some sort of discount.
