Minecraft Dungeons has two DLC packs on the way in 2020

Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft Dungeons launched last week to solid reception. Turns out that Minecraft mixed with a simplified take on Diablo resonates strongly with all sorts of audiences. (including our own Steven Rollins – check out his review here). Luckily for fans of the game, they’ll have two solid reasons – in the form of DLC – to return to Minecraft Dungeons this year. The first DLC pack, Jungle Awakens, features three additional missions that send players on a quest into the lush depths of a daunting forest. The second DLC, Creeping Winter, is set to release later this year, but we don’t have as many details on it yet.

The Minecraft Dungeons DLCs promise to introduce new weapons, armor, and artifacts to the mix as players take on dangerous new enemies. In Jungle Awakens, those include the Leapleaf, Jungle Zombie, Poison Quill Vine, and a few others. I’m not sure what we’ll see in Creeping Winter, but I imagine we can anticipate a cast of cruel, icy enemies with hearts as chilled as their environment.

Have you played Minecraft Dungeons yet? What do you like about it so far? Do you enjoy it enough that you’ll be picking up the DLC packs later this year?
