‘Metal Gear’ movie director talks possible ‘Zelda’ film at Comic-Con 2018

Looking at accessibility in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

With the Metal Gear movie on its way, IGN got to chat with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts about the project at San Diego Comic-Con. During the interview, he spoke on how a Legend of Zelda movie would play out on the big screen.

The thing about Zelda is Zelda is not Lord of the Rings, right? You cannot forget how quirky and bizarre Zelda is, I think you need to find a way to actually fuse the traditional Zelda and the very new Zelda,” said Vogt-Roberts. “I think you have to find a way to very intensely fuse the pure just sort of fantasy of The Ocarina of Time and The Link to the Past, but then I think you need to find a way to incorporate the newer pseudo-tech stuff — you know, the lasers and Tron lines that happen in the newer games, but in a way that’s not overwhelming,” he added.

The full interview can be viewed below. Let us know your thoughts on what was said and whether or not you even want to see a live action Zelda movie.
