Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Check out the full playable character roster

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 full roster on Nintendo Switch

Face front, true believers! Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is almost here, and after a lot of teases, we can finally sit back and admire the full roster of characters in the game. There are 34 playable characters, 27 bosses, 11 non-playable characters, and post-launch DLC coming. Excelsior!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 full roster on Nintendo Switch

The 34 playable characters at launch are as follows:

  • Black Panther
  • Black Widow
  • Captain America
  • Captain Marvel
  • Crystal
  • Daredevil
  • Deadpool
  • Doctor Strange
  • Drax
  • Electra
  • Elsa Bloodstone
  • Falcon
  • Gamora
  • Ghost Rider
  • Groot and Rocket
  • Hawkeye
  • Hulk
  • Iron Fist
  • Iron Man
  • Luke Cage
  • Magneto (I fully support Magneto as a playable character in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3!)
  • Miles Morales
  • Ms. Marvel
  • Nightcrawler
  • Psylocke
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Spider-Gwen
  • Spider-Man
  • Star-Lord
  • Storm
  • Thor
  • Venom
  • Wasp
  • Wolverine

The Fantastic Four are sorely missed here, as well as a few X-Men like Cyclops. But aside from those absences and a few others, this is a pretty awesome Marvel roster. The DLC should expand the roster to even more exciting heights.

I had the privilege of playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order with colleagues at the Nintendo booth at E3 2019. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it as much as them, but not because I didn’t like it — it was because the game bugged out. I played as Venom, and my special abilities were permanently inaccessible to me for the entire time I played. I had to punch my way through every fight, and suffice to say, it was really lame.

Here’s to hoping such bugs are ironed out of the final release. In any case, let us know if you’re hyped for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as it releases on July 19!
